Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the JED Student Hub mobile application and website (the "App") operated by Jokings Educare ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to use the App. By registering, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

2. Account Registration

You must provide accurate, complete information when registering and keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

3. User Roles

The App supports several roles, each with different permissions:

• Students can upload documents, request services, track applications, and message their counsellor.
• Freelancers and Counsellors can refer students, manage pipelines, and collaborate on applications. These roles require approval before access is granted.
• Data Officers (administrators) manage users, news, schools, referrals, and audit logs.

You may only use features available to your assigned role. Attempting to access data or functions outside your role is prohibited.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Provide false, misleading, or inaccurate information in your profile or applications.
• Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, or harmful.
• Attempt to access another user's data without authorization.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disrupt the App's operation or security.
• Use the App to send unsolicited communications or spam.
• Share your account credentials with others.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of documents and information you upload. By uploading, you grant Jokings Educare a license to use, store, and share that content with assigned staff and educational partners solely to provide the service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any content you upload.

6. Services and Fees

Jokings Educare provides counselling, application support, and related services. Some services may involve third-party fees (institution applications, flights, accommodation, visas). We are not responsible for decisions made by educational institutions, embassies, or third-party providers. Any fees for our services will be communicated before work begins.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, content, and software are owned by Jokings Educare and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute App materials without our written permission.

8. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee admission, visa approval, or any specific outcome from using our services. We are not liable for delays, inaccuracies, or failures caused by third parties or circumstances beyond our control.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jokings Educare shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the preceding 12 months.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may request account deletion at any time. Sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability survive termination.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Jokings Educare's operating jurisdiction. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by local consumer protection law.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes within the App or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
